What is a .DBB file?
The most common data format on the web.
A DBB file is a legacy Skype user data file from Skype versions 5 through 7 (pre-2017). It stored chat history, contacts, and call records in a proprietary binary format. To read one, use NirSoft SkypeLogView (free, Windows). Note that Skype was retired on May 5, 2025, so DBB files are now archival artifacts with no live client to open them natively.
