What is a .EDL file?
The most common data format on the web.
An EDL (Edit Decision List) file is a plain-text script that describes a video edit: which source clips go where on the timeline, with what transitions and timecodes. It contains no video or audio data. Open it in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, or Final Cut Pro. For a quick look, any text editor works.
